I didn’t think I’d be that type of mom who would spend $400 on 2 pairs of maternity jeans….well I now know I am. I didn’t cave in during my first pregnancy, but this pregnancy I had to start wearing maternity clothes really early on and was sad to say goodbye and see you later in 6 months to my regular non-pregnancy designer jeans. The maternity jeans I was using made me feel awful. The fabric was rough, heavy and not stretchy. Seriously for any of you gals out there who haven’t tried designer jeans…there is a reason why they are priced so high. It’s called QUALITY.
After thinking about it for a few days, I decided to go to A Pea in the Pod and get me some jeans. The ladies in the shop were very helpful and even gave their input on which jeans fit best on me. After 30-45 minutes of trying out a bunch of jeans (7 for All Mankind, Paige Denim, Hudsons, Citizens, Joe’s Jeans, etc.) and figuring out which one was most figure flattering ….I came out of the store with 2 pairs. I got myself a pair of Paige Denim Skinny jeans (Just because your preggers doesn’t mean you can’t wear your skinnies) and a pair of Hudson bootcut jeans.
Now, I ask myself why I didn’t do this sooner (with my first pregnancy)? I am so glad I splurged a bit on myself. We often don’t when we are pregnant because we figure…we’ll just be pregnant for 9 months, but it has actually helped me enjoy being pregnant instead of complaining about how uncomfortable it is.
